Grace kept on with dance for the second year this year. She had a pretty good "season" all year, and was getting excited for recital. I adored their costumes this year - so bright and cheerful! This year was especially fun for her because she knew the on stage routine, the back stage routine, and had made a ton of dance friends, school friends, and dance buddies throughout the year! She was in her element, a social butterfly.
She had 3 total performances, with 2 songs each performance plus joined the large group for the finale song.
I'll mostly let the pictures speak for themselves, but interject a few places here and there ... like usual!
a backstage look at the performance
Grand Finale Song! "Peace Love and Harmony"
Grace was convinced it was "Peace Love and Hominy." Not so much. The end is pretty neat because you realize why you were sitting through 3 hours of dancing - it's because there are more than 300 girls that participate in dance at this studio. HUGE!
Aunt "Carla's" (her name is actually Harla) daughter Jacey!
And of course, Grace did some modeling before her final performance. She really worked it!
I told her I wanted her to do a pose that showed me her whole outfit. This is it!
Jeepers, what a gorgeous girl! It's like senior picture modeling time!
...Grace and her buddies...
And some of us dance moms and daughters!
Sophie too! Her mom is currently deployed, so Tara got her all dolled up! Sweet!
